Hollyoaks

Hollyoaks later starts next monday at 10pm, a late night series of the show that lasts for a week, in which Niall returns.
Tonight in hollyoaks Carmel and Calvin appear to have split up, and Mark, that slimy git, comes on to Carmel at last…. an advance which she declines.
Warren is up to something dodgy again.
And the new Dom, Ste, Justin trio seems to be pretty entertaining. Despite how unrealistic it is that someone would rent a flat without looking at it, and rent out a flat without ensuring the last tenants had left. It’s almost as unrealistic as the council selling a block of flats to Nev without informing any of the Tenants. Hollyoaks is pretty ridiculous at times….but hell….It’s entertaining.

I swear I’m going to start updating this reguarly, but since the whole Niall fiasco, nothing happens….Well, ok, some stuff happens, just nothing interesting. Mandy and warren are having and affair, cindy found out, they’re still having an affair. Newt and Lauren are trying to have sex but are having trouble getting any privacy. Malachy has text mercedes to tell her he has booked the wedding, despite the fact she is ignoring him, Dom moved out of Tonys and rented a flat that still had ste and justin living there. Obviously the landlord didn’t fancy checking the condition of the flat before renting it out to a new tenant…..
Oh yeah, and ravvi’s family have come to town….they’re pretty cool actually. They are the new headmaster, the new hairdresser, and there’s even a little friend for Newt and lauren.
Newt and Lauren irritate me somewhat….How I long for the schoolkid days of lee and bombhead….

So it may be necessary to make more than one post a week just to inform you that nothing has happened….. No, okay…Some stuff has happened. Jackie has continued to be a whining bitch, and they have had Tina’s funeral, which jackie didn’t go to.
Poor old Nan took some abuse for making Myra get rid of Niall, and Jackie still has Max….I’m still wondering when it became acceptable for babies to just be taken by whomever feels like having it, and why Russ doesn’t seem to care too much about having his son practically stolen.
Dom got a bit carried away with his speech at the funeral, but I don’t really care about Dom, or his feelings… I’m still pissed off about everyone whining about Russ as if him and Tina were having an affair and he split Dom and Tina up!
Also Calvin decided to show his face….Well done mate!

The Ashworths have bought the dog from Frankie, and her and Newt are now living in a flat, and Mandy and Warren’s affair continued, but they almost got caught by Louise.

All in all, Hollyoaks is a pile of cack at the minute. Most of the decent characters have left throughout the course of this year, and the only decent ones left (mostly, the Mcqueens) are falling apart….I’m giving it 2 months until I stop watching!

Frankie decides to sell the Dog (to neville, I’m guessing), and Newt plans to run away thinking that Frankie can’t afford to keep him. In the end she gets him home, but he calls his Mum. Rhys is having trouble pulling, and Justin is humiliated.

This is possibly the most boring that Hollyoaks has been since the start of 2008. We got carried into the year with the OB/Summer real life cross over (which is possibly my favourite storyline in anything, ever) Followed by rhys and beth, max’s death, Niall and the McQueens, John paul and keiron….Even Ste and Amy got a little bit interesting for a while.
Now it seems nothing is really going on except a couple of trivial stories, and the aftermath of the Osbourne situation, which to be quite honest, is doing my head in as I’m finding Frankie and Newt extremely irritating.
There is currently not storyline happening that is enough to keep someone watching. Hope it picks up soon!

I haven’t unpdated for the last couple of days for one single reason…I was asleep and missed it! Sorry. I’m sure noone will be too heartbroken though.
Todays episode starts off with Ravi thinking about when he tried to kiss Russ. (Yep, you read right!) and then Nancy and Russ talking. She is wanting to make up with Ravi, and Russ trys to put her off the idea. He goes to see Ravi and tells him if he wants to get back with Nancy he needs to tell her that he’s bi-sexual, so he dumps her instead!
Cindy convinces Frankie to re-open the pub. I’m liking Cindy alot more nowadays, but unfortuantely Newt isn’t, and he is determined to get rid of her!

Today has been a pretty boring episode, involving lots of Josh, amy, ste, russ, and nancy, and not enough of anyone else. Ste continues going to his anger management classes, and convinces Amy to go to one with him, giving him the wrong impression and making him think they will get back together… But he manages to control his anger well, showing that his anger management classes are really working.

Louise had to go away to look after her mother, and leaves Mandy in charge of Evissa, much to Warrens pleasure.

Russ and Ravi become better pals, and Ravi an Nancy struggle to find some privacy at the Loft.

Malachy and Kris leave for Ireland to tell their mother that their Father is dead, and Malachy says his farewells to Mercedes, telling her he will marry her one day!

 Not enough McQueen stuff today!

Jaqui’s still bitching and moaning about being chosen to die by her mother… Get over it woman. She see’s russ and tells him Max is now living with her and he can see him any time he likes. Russ is being such a pussy about this. What kind of person just lets someone take their kid for no apparent reason. Wierdo.
Kris trys to deal with his Father’s death, while pretending to not really be bothered at the same time.

 The McQueens are all nervy about the fact that Niall isn’t dead, or in prison. Michaela is struggling to deal with the trauma, combined with being the only real support for her mum, and Malachy proposes to Mercedes, who tells him in no uncertain terms where he can shove it.

Come on mercedes, just marry the poor boy, bless him.

Also in Hollyoaks, ste does stuff. Nothing interesting, don’t worry yourself about it.

Will Mellor, who played Jambo when Hollyoaks first aired, and has since gained more popularity by starring in the show ‘Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps’ will be on the Paul ‘O Grady show tomorrow (Wed 22/10/08).
It starts at 5pm on channel four.

Busy day for Darren in Hollyoaks. He talks to Newt to try and get him to see Frankie, and prevent her from handing herself in, then heads on over to see Kris and Malachy to inform them that he buried their Dad instead of his own! He then heads off, apparently doing a runner from the police, but instead ends up at the police station ready to hand himself in. Cindy, possibly my least favourite character, has become somewhat more appealing in her support of the Osbournes. I love how the fact that Jack is alive hasn’t phased her in the slightest!

Jaqui is still being, well, to but it politely, somewhat irritating. Whining about the fact Myra chose her to die. I mean, seriously, any half decent person in that situation would have volunteered for it, like Mercedes and John Paul, not sit and watch most of their family die while thinking ‘At least it wasn’t me’.
It’s quite interesting though, in that, one would have though Jaqui was one of the strongest people in the family, the ‘hardest’ and it’s odd that the writers should have her falling apart, while Carmel, who you would have thought it would have hit more, is strong and forgiving.

What an extremely irritating episode. Tina is dead. DEAD. Gone forever, and with the exception of Dom and a few tears from Michaela, noone seems to care atall. Jaqui is far too concerned with the fact that mercedes slept with Tony over a year ago, and the fact that Myra chose her to die. One might think you’d be a bit more forgiving after nearly having to watch your entire family being killed, and John Paul is more concerned with going back to Ireland.

Thats right, after that entire ordeal, he simply leaves the hospital to return to Ireland. No staying to support the family, or staying for Tinas funeral. He just leaves. It’s ridiculous.

The best part of this episode, it the way Myra just takes Russ’s baby off him….and Jaqui just takes it out of Myras arms at the end. I’m pretty sure there’s laws about just taking another persons child. Maybe Myra and Jaqui will end up locked up with Jack!
